Massage Guidelines and Expectations

  1. Session Timing
All massage sessions will begin and end at the scheduled time. If a client arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and the client will be billed for the full session.

  2. Respect and Boundaries
Every client will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Personal and professional boundaries will be respected at all times.

  3. Health History
Clients must provide accurate health history information and agree to inform their therapist of any updates or changes to their health or medical conditions.

  4. Contagious Conditions
Clients with contagious conditions, including the common cold, influenza, stomach flu, coronavirus, meningitis, shingles, or any other contagious skin conditions, should not come into the office. Please contact the therapist to inform them of your condition, and reschedule once you have fully recovered.

  5. Infections and Symptoms
If a client exhibits symptoms of an active infection (e.g., fever, sore throat, swelling, etc.) at the time of the scheduled session, they are requested to notify their therapist and reschedule the appointment.

  6. Scope of Practice
Our massage therapists only provide therapeutic massage and modalities that are within the scope of their licensed profession. Clients with acute injuries or conditions outside the scope of massage should consult their doctor.

  7. Draping and Privacy
Clients will be appropriately draped with a sheet at all times during the session. Only the area currently being worked on will be exposed, and the genital area will never be exposed or massaged.

  8. Privacy and Confidentiality
Client privacy and confidentiality are always maintained.

  9. Substance Use
Any client arriving under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave immediately.

  10. Non-Smoking Environment
Our massage office is a non-smoking, odor-neutral space.

  11. Client Hygiene
Clients are expected to arrive clean and have showered prior to receiving their massage (on the same day).

  12. Professional Service

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. If this occurs, the session will be terminated immediately, or the therapist’s safety will be ensured.

  14. Meal Guidelines
Clients are asked to avoid eating a heavy meal within two hours prior to receiving a massage.

  15. Appointment Confirmation
Appointments will be confirmed one to two days prior to the scheduled time.
